As you know we have to discuss about the topic " who knows more" on Prof Hami`s class the day after tomorrow.
who knows more? the one who is educated or experienced?
"" By education, We can know many things. We know that triangles only have three sides. We know that you can add two numbers together and get a logical result. We know that gravity causes objects thrown in the air to return to the ground..." But how about the Metaphysics? who is capable to know more about it?
what is your idea?
to talk about who knows more, I think any generation knows sth more than each other, i.e. that none of them can claim that they are complete. todays there are different sources for new generation to gain information such as university, newspaper, media, Internet and so on which makes youngers to have more information than their parents and grand parents,because in the past in Iran, people could learn just by religious persons as ROHANIUN. so young people know more than the old one in science , religion and so on, but the old one has more experience than youngers, it means that there was a situation in the past that people could see, experience and immitate more than now which means experience in my idea.by situation i mean because there were little people who knew alot and called adept. so people had to learn from them because then they couldn't work anything, but now the level of knowledge in our generation is so high and youngers think they know everything and don't need to learn from any one else, but that's wrong, for, although the previous generation could have ability in doing just one work ,were more exact in doing that only work and tried to learn every point of that. and because our generation knows more than before, so they try to be logical and find the answer of why the old generation's traditios are like that and cannot accept traditions so easily as their anscestors did which makes their parents angry becuse they cannot answer logically and cannot accept this way of asking questions. they just agree with their values and mostly object to any works youths do. so when youngrs see these objections an violence against them so they like to find ways to break those traditions and find thier answers themselves. e.g. when they see that women were just as a tool for men and a person whose duty is just to grow up children and also a incapable in men's idea, so they themselves resist against these idea and don't accept these rules.
ReplyDeletethe old generation have some fixed and inflexible ideas about every things so they disagree with youngers in changing the situation, but youngers are so open-minded and accept changes easylier.
to sum up, i think youngers' level of information are more than old ones. but old generations are more experienced than us, and can help us very much if they don't think that they are complete and they can just recognize what is right and what is wrong. they should believe us, answer our question logically, use youngers in the society and learn them what they know.

Who knows more? I think parents are more experienced in different situations we face in life. They know better about social relationships because they are maturer. But in the other hand our scientific and technological information are more, because our generation is more interested in learning in these fields. Our data about digital life are updated. We have access to information sources like media & internet but parents have lots of duties and they haven’t much time to search about things that they don’t need actually. I think parents (old generations) are more experienced than youngers and we (the youngers) have more information about science, technology and new things.
